This poem holds a special place in the hearts of many of the family and friends of the UK victims of the 11th September tragedy. It brings back poignant memories of the services held both at Westminster Abbey on 29th November 2001 and St Paul’s Cathedral on the first anniversary, where it was read. It is engraved in the stone memorial at the centre of the September 11th Memorial Garden, Grosvenor Square, London, beneath which is buried a small piece of the World Trade Centre from Ground Zero.
