Applications for the Victim Compensation
Fund closed on 31 December 2003.
The September 11th Victim Compensation Fund is a formal legislation
passed by the US Government to provide financial compensation
to relatives of those who were killed or injured in the terrorist
attacks on the World Trade Centre on September 11th 2001.
It is sometimes referred to as the ‘Feinberg Fund’,
named after Mr Kenneth Feinberg, who is the Judge and Special
Master of the Fund. The Fund is set up to provide a no-blame
alternative to litigation.
